Freebie Files - Bake and Freeze Desserts

It’s time to look for the gluten- and dairy-free desserts in our latest cookbook, Bake and Freeze Desserts by Elinor Klivans.  Most baking cookbooks emphasize flour, butter, and whipped cream, and recipes that skip one par of that holy trinity usually make up for it by worshiping the other two.

So I was delighted to find that 8 of the 140 recipes in this cookbook are already gluten- and dairy-free.  If you’re looking for a good sorbet recipe, check out pages 241-244.  I pucker just thinking about the Pink Grapefruit Sorbet.

Another 10 recipes have dairy but no gluten, which makes for 18 recipes total that you can make for you and your gluten-free loved ones.

What am I eager to make first from the lists below?  The Hazelnut Meringues have caught my eye.  And the Chocolate Pudding Ice Cream is dark, intensely chocolate, and perfectly smooth.  I labeled it “chocolate gold” in my notes next to the recipe.
